The Society of the Crossed Keys is a photographic travel journal published by Doytcheva. For questions about this app and your data, contact apps@doytcheva.studio.

The app does not require an account and contains no advertising or advertising tracking. The technical services described below have their own data processing practices.

Your language and favourites are stored locally on your device. Downloaded stories and photographs are also saved on the device for offline reading. Your favourites and preferences are not transmitted to our server.

The app contacts thesocietyofthecrossedkeys.fr to download the editorial catalogue and photographs. These requests necessarily transmit your IP address to the hosting service. The infrastructure may process technical logs for operation and security. We do not use these requests to build an advertising profile.

The map uses Apple Maps. Displaying it uses Apple's services and is also subject to Apple's privacy policy. This app does not request access to your location. If you open directions in Maps, that app's permissions and settings apply.

Links to third-party websites open outside the journal. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

The contact form prepares a message in your email app. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it. If you write to us, we use the information in your message to respond to your request.

You can remove favourites within the app. Deleting the app removes its local data. For requests concerning messages you have sent us, contact apps@doytcheva.studio.

Mapbox maps and terrain

From version 1.0.3, including the TestFlight beta, the Peaks view uses Mapbox to display satellite imagery, terrain and mountain names. The Places view continues to use Apple Maps. Earlier versions do not include this Mapbox view.

Displaying Mapbox maps transmits map requests and technical data: IP address, random session or billing identifiers, device and operating system information, map interactions, usage, performance and diagnostic data. Mapbox processes these to provide, secure, measure and improve its service. These data are not used for advertising tracking in our app.

We do not request access to your GPS location or send your physical location to Mapbox. The coordinates of maps you view relate to the places you explore; they do not necessarily represent your location.

You can turn off Mapbox telemetry through the information button on the map. This preference does not prevent the technical exchanges needed to load maps. Mapbox processes data in the United States and may use its international delivery network. Logs containing IP addresses are generally retained for 30 days, unless needed for security or abuse investigations.

For processing details, retention periods and rights requests to Mapbox, see its privacy policy and telemetry information. For processing we are responsible for, contact apps@doytcheva.studio.

Weather

Forecasts are requested from MET Norway for your selected destination, without using your GPS location. The provider receives that destination’s coordinates and connection data, including your IP address. See MET Norway’s policy.
