Black Moon at Skyway

On 31 October, Skyway Monte Bianco and Giulia Sarno invited me up for dinner as part of the Black Moon evening.

We spent a few hours in Courmayeur before going up. It was Halloween and the children were in costume. Then we took the cable car, at night.

Large spotlights lit up the snow and the mountain. It was quite surreal. I felt like a James Bond villain returning to his secret base to prepare an attack on the world.

For dinner, chef Marco Assaggia had prepared a large buffet. Vincenzo Troia, from Caseus, was making mozzarella in front of the guests. Originally from Andria, in Puglia, he specialises in stretched-curd cheeses.

Fabiana Spagnuolo offered tarot readings, using the cards as a tool for personal exploration.

We also went out onto the terraces, including the circular terrace at the very top. There were the stars, the cool air and the wind.
